Pentatonic Scale:   Major Pentatonic Scale
Another very important scale used throughout music, especially in modern rock music, is the Pentatonic scale. The Major Pentatonic scale is formed by removing the 4th and 7th note (Fa and Ti) from the Major scale.
Note: The Pentatonic scale gets its name from the Greek term for 5, penta, because the scale has only 5 notes.
