Chord Sequences:   Basic Chord Progressions
It is common for a musical arrangement to cycle through a pattern of chords, repeating the same sequence throughout the song. The sequence of chords is known as a chord progression.  This is a simple example using the chord progression G, C, D, G.
As you should remember, this example is the same as G Major, C Major, D Major, G Major.
