Note Basics:   Naming the Notes There are only 12 notes on the guitar. These 12 notes are repeated in higher pitched octaves. 7 of the notes are named simply as A through G. These notes are displayed in the picture above. Tip: There is not a note between B and C or a note between E and F. To help remember these exceptions, use the reminder "Boulder Colorado" and "Eagles Fly"

coolGuitar.net 2003-07-07   Although each person is different and can learn at their own pace, you should be able to cover all the material in a few weeks. Then, it is up to you to practice and apply what you have learned.
